EczemaTrack ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS app that helps a parent or guardian track a child's eczema and spot possible patterns. This policy covers both the app and our marketing website, eczematrack.com. Unless a section specifically says "website," everything below describes the app; the Website analytics section near the end covers the site. Your privacy — and your child's — is central to how the app is built.
The short version
- Your data stays on your device. All tracking data (severity, scratch, foods, products, medications, body map, notes) is stored only in the app's local database on your iPhone. We do not operate a server and we never receive, see, or store your data.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or cloud account.
- The app has no tracking, no ads, and no analytics. It contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs, and it never tracks you across other apps or websites. (Our marketing website uses a privacy-friendly, cookieless visitor count — see Website analytics below — which is completely separate from the app.)
- You are always in control. You can export your data at any time and permanently delete all of it from within the app.
Information the app handles (all on-device)
The app stores the information you choose to enter about your child, which may include: name, date of birth, daily eczema severity and scratch level, whether your child had a bath, an optional body-map of affected areas, foods, skincare products, medications and schedules, pets, places visited, weather, and free-text notes. This information is stored only on your device and is included in your device's standard iCloud/iTunes backup if you have backups enabled.
The one exception: weather
If you enable the weather feature, the app sends your device's approximate location to Apple's WeatherKit service to retrieve local weather conditions. This is used only to fill in weather for your entries (App Functionality). It is not linked to your child's health data and is not used to track you. You can skip the weather feature and enter weather manually. Location handling by Apple is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
On-device diagnostics
To find and fix crashes, the app uses Apple's MetricKit, which records crash and freeze diagnostics locally on your device. These reports are not transmitted anywhere and contain no health data you entered. They stay on your device unless you choose to send one to us from Help & Support. We do not use any third-party crash-reporting, analytics, or advertising service.
Purchases
EczemaTrack offers an optional "Pro" subscription processed by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit). We never see or store your payment information. Apple handles all billing.
Children's data
This app is designed to be used by a parent or guardian about their child — it is not directed to or intended for use by children. Because it stores a child's health-related information, we treat that data with care: it never leaves the device, is never sold or shared, and can be deleted by you at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Export: From the app's More tab you can generate a CSV file and a PDF summary report to keep or share with your child's healthcare provider.
- Delete: From the app's More tab you can permanently remove all data from the device. Because data is stored only on your device, this is irreversible.
Medical disclaimer
EczemaTrack provides informational pattern observations based on the data you enter. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or predict any condition. Always consult your child's healthcare provider before making care or diet decisions.
Website analytics
Our marketing website (eczematrack.com) uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It is cookieless — it sets no cookies — and the information it records is anonymous and not tied to your IP address or to any identifier that could single you out or follow you across other websites or apps. It records only aggregated information — such as the page visited, the site that referred you, approximate location (for example, country or city), and general device type, operating system, and browser — and visitors are counted using a temporary hash that is discarded after 24 hours.
We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it — or any other personal information. Because the website does not track visitors across other sites or over time and does not sell or share personal information, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals have nothing to act on, and we do not let third parties collect personal information about your activity across other websites through our site. The app itself remains completely analytics-free.
