Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") before using the EczemaTrack app ("the app") or this website, eczematrack.com. By downloading or using the app, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. Unless a section says otherwise, everything below describes the app. Section 7 applies to the website as well.
1. What the app is
EczemaTrack is a personal tracking tool that helps a parent or guardian log a child's eczema symptoms and possible contributing factors, and surfaces statistical patterns from the data you enter. It is provided for informational and organizational purposes only.
The interactive case files on the home page use made-up data to show how the app works. They are not real children and not real results.
2. Who can use the app
You must be an adult where you live to agree to these Terms and to use the app. The app is meant for a parent or legal guardian keeping a record about a child in their care. By entering a child's information you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent's or guardian's permission to keep this record. The app is not made for children to use themselves.
3. Not medical advice
The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or predictions. It is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment or alleviation of any disease or condition. Pattern observations, which the app calls "possible patterns", are statistical correlations in the data you entered, and may be incomplete or incorrect. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making any decision about your child's health, diet, medication, or care. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something in the app.
Food changes deserve extra care. If a pattern points at a food, do not take that food out of your child's diet, and do not put it back, on your own. Taking away a food a child has been eating and then giving it again later can bring on a reaction worse than the one you first saw, including breathing symptoms. Talk to your child's doctor, or the specialist they send you to, before you change anything. The app's Food Introduction Log is there to record an introduction your child's doctor has already planned. It is not a way to plan one yourself.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for how you use the app's output. Because data is stored only on your device, you are responsible for keeping device backups if you wish to preserve your data.
5. Subscriptions
Every feature of the app is free to use right now; you do not need a subscription. If you subscribed to EczemaTrack Pro earlier, it is no longer offered, so it will not renew and you will not be charged again. The terms below still apply to any subscription you bought, except that it will not renew.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription automatically renews at the then-current price.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Apple handles the money, not us. Apple takes the payment, sends the receipt, runs the renewal and the cancellation, and decides refunds. We never see your payment details and we cannot charge, refund, or cancel anything ourselves. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or withdraw from a purchase, you keep that right. Apple handles those requests too.
When a subscription is offered, prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
6. Intellectual property
The app and its content are owned by Jorge Hernandez and provided under a limited, non-transferable license for personal use. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make them reliable, but we do not promise they will be free of errors or that they will suit any particular purpose. Some places do not allow a seller to exclude implied warranties or to limit a consumer's statutory rights, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you cannot lose. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law where you live does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep every statutory right you have where you live.
Otherwise, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app or this website is limited to the greater of what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
